Privacy Policy

Contractor-AI is built for construction teams, SaaS workflows, and consulting engagements. We collect the information needed to run the work, answer inquiries, deliver services, support software access, and communicate clearly. We do not sell personal information. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data. That is the policy.

Last updated: April 27, 2026

1. Who this covers

This policy applies to Contractor-AI, the Contractor-AI website, contact forms, demos, SaaS tools, consulting services, implementation work, software access, email communication, and SMS or text message communication.

Contractor-AI is part of the Unhook Network.

2. Information we collect

We collect practical business information, not mystery data.

  • Contact details: name, company, email address, phone number, and location if you provide it.
  • Project details: workflow notes, construction documents, RFIs, estimates, scopes, files, and related context you send to us.
  • Website and analytics data: pages visited, form submissions, referral source, device/browser data, and similar usage information.
  • Service records: communications, meeting notes, support requests, deliverables, invoices, account history, subscription status, and billing context.
  • SaaS usage data: login events, feature use, tool activity, uploaded files, generated outputs, technical logs, and support diagnostics.
  • SMS data: phone number, opt-in status, message history, delivery status, and opt-out status.

3. How we use information

We use information to do the work you asked us to do.

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule calls.
  • Run demos and evaluate whether Contractor-AI is a fit.
  • Provide consulting, implementation, support, subscriptions, and software services.
  • Operate accounts, secure access, process payments, and troubleshoot SaaS tools.
  • Prepare scopes, proposals, reports, RFIs, estimates, and other deliverables.
  • Improve our website, tools, documentation, and operations.
  • Send service-related messages, including email and SMS when you have given consent.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. SMS messaging terms

Contractor-AI may use SMS to communicate about discovery calls, active projects, demos, service updates, support, scheduling, approved invoices, project quotes, daily construction journal entries, daily log updates, and related account communications. Message frequency varies based on the work in progress.

Website opt-in happens when a person submits a Contractor-AI form and checks the SMS consent box. The checkbox is optional and is not checked by default. In-person or verbal opt-in may happen at the job site, in the office, or during a project conversation. In those cases, staff confirm the phone number and explain the message types, expected frequency, rates notice, and STOP option.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.
  • You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
  • After you reply STOP, we may send one confirmation message and then stop SMS communication unless you opt in again.
  • You can reply HELP for help or contact us directly at [email protected].
  • Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • To rejoin after opting out, contact us or opt in again through the same process you used before.

5. SMS opt-in script

For verbal opt-ins, Contractor-AI uses plain language like this: “Would you like us to send you text messages for project quotes, invoice approvals, scheduling, and daily construction updates? We only send messages related to your project. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to cancel.”

6. SMS privacy commitment

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except aggregators and providers that support delivery of the text message service.

If another section of this policy describes sharing information with service providers, that sharing excludes SMS opt-in data and consent. We do not sell it. We do not rent it. We do not hand it to lead generators. Full stop.

7. How we share information

We share information only when it is needed to run the business, deliver the work, protect the company, or comply with the law.

  • Service providers: hosting, analytics, email, SMS delivery, payment, storage, security, and other tools that help us operate.
  • Project collaborators: only when needed for the specific work you approved.
  • Legal and safety: if required by law, court order, security review, fraud prevention, or protection of rights and property.
  • Business transfer: if the business is reorganized, sold, or transferred, subject to the same privacy commitments.

Again, SMS opt-in data and consent are excluded from marketing or promotional sharing. They are used to support the messaging service and nothing else.

8. Construction documents and client files

Contractor-AI may receive construction documents, estimates, specs, drawings, RFIs, schedules, proposals, photos, and related project records. Those files are treated as client work product. We use them to provide the service, not to train public models or build public datasets.

If a project requires stricter handling, say so before sending the files. We can define the rule in the scope. Ambiguity is bad project management.

9. Cookies and analytics

The website may use cookies, analytics scripts, and similar tools to understand traffic, improve pages, and measure interest in services. This is normal website telemetry. It is not a license to spam people.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some site features may not work the same way if cookies are blocked.

10. Data retention

We keep information as long as needed for the business purpose, the client relationship, accounting records, security, legal obligations, or documentation of the work. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or archive it according to operational need and legal requirements.

11. Your choices

  • You can ask us to update or delete contact information where legally and operationally practical.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe link when available.
  • You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP.
  • You can ask questions about this policy by emailing [email protected].

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect information. No system is magic. If a project needs stronger controls, we define them in the written scope before the files start moving.

13. Children

Contractor-AI is built for businesses and construction teams. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Contractor-AI changes. The updated date tells you when the current version went live. Material changes will be posted here.
