Twenty-five years in construction. Started with my father as a cleanup laborer. Worked my way through carpentry, framing, and into commercial project management. Spent the last decade at Harper General Contractors, one of the largest GCs in the Southeast, where I rose to Regional Director and led a team of 30 overseeing $60M+ in active projects.

Along the way, I watched the industry resist every wave of technology. BIM was going to save us. Then drones. Then IoT sensors. Most of it collected dust after the pilot project. I ran Harper's Construction Technology Department for five years. I know what sticks and what doesn't.

AI is different. Not because the technology is better (it is), but because it doesn't ask anyone to change how they work. It supports people where they already are: writing emails, reading specs, filling out forms, answering questions. It puts the right data at their fingertips, sometimes before they even ask.

I left Harper in early 2026 to take a shot on myself and build AI tools for the industry I love. Not another platform people have to learn. Tools that just work.
